About us

After a lifetime of being busy at work, we're now taking it easy while traveling and searching for new horizons.

In the coming years, we will continue to live as nomads around the globe, probably (that's how we live!) in a quite serendipitous way.

We are going to places we fancy and we stay for weeks or months, not to see all the local sights, but to have an everyday life, to allow ourselves to sit on a porch with a drink in our hand, greeting the neighbors.

Living slow, enjoying a good book, doing a bit of sketching, or just contemplating life as it is.

As of now, we have a bucket list of places to visit (besides New York City and Paris, of course. The loves of our life and worth returning to as often as possible!):

We dream of....

Dark nights on a sooty rocky island in the Tyrrhenian Sea. And out on the horizon: The lava glows  from the Stromboli volcano

A Cuban fishing village. Long runs in the shallows. Cuba Libres and salsa music on a palm-clad beach.

An apartment in one of the old barrios of Buenos Aires. Hopefully so close to a tango school that we - before we move on - will have fulfilled our dream of finally learning how to dance a passionate tango

A trailer park in Arizona, sitting on the stairs leading up to the camper - at night, on the edge of the parched desert - with a Budweiser in hand, listening to the coyotes howling from out of the nothingness

And ... the list grows and grows.

All this (and much more) must be done while we still have the strength.

And speaking of strength and elderly age: When we thought of making this blog. the most important factor was that we wanted to make a blog for people our age  - the senior hipsters, who feel they can still have the world as their oyster and who are capable and visionary.

A wise man once said: Being old in a good way is not just adding years to your life. It's adding life to your years!
